Local ASCE Meeting Focuses on TxDOT Business Opportunities
James “Brooks” Schultze, PE, COO, spent the day of Dec. 15 at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Critical Principles briefing, an event designed by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Fort Worth Branch to educate businesses about consulting and partnering with TxDOT.
The event focused on the topic of Local Let Project Management with TxDOT and was presented by the Former TxDOT Director of Planning and Development Ricardo Gonzalez, PE. Further education included understanding Federal Guidelines vs. TxDOT and local government construction documents and expectations, plan and schedule development, and the Statewide Transport Improvement Program (STIP), which helps potentially fast-track city or community prioritized projects within TxDOT.
