The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) -Houston Chapter has officially started its 2022-2023 Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), and we’re proud to announce Barry Gentz, PE, Houston Engineering Manager, as a selected program participant. Barry has 15 years of experience and has been an instrumental team member in leading Mbroh’s on-site efforts at the City of Houston’s Northeast Water Purification Plant (NEWPP) project. Earlier in November, Barry  participated in the Government Affairs Committee (GAC) and November chapter meeting with fellow ELP participants.

In coordination with the ACEC National Leadership Program, the ELP serves to elevate future firm leaders into ACEC Houston leadership. The eight-month program includes monthly participation in mentorship, meetings, roundtables and other events.

ACEC Houston is comprised of 240+ member firms in the Greater Houston Region and works closely with local governments and agencies, including Harris County, the City of Houston, METRO, TxDOT, and others, on policies and issues that affect the industry.
