Houston Women in Water Event Recap
Veronica Weaver-Rivers, PE, PMP and her Women’s History Month allies, Anthony Mbroh, PE (Mbroh Engineering), Jeff Masek, PE, CCM (AECOM), Ryan Rembert (Burns & McDonnell) and Sam Irrinki, PE (Weston Solutions), attended the Texas Section of American Water Works Association’s Women in Water social held at Saint Arnold Brewing Company in Houston, Texas. Joined by featured guest, Connie Curtis, Director of Technical and Operational Services at the San Jacinto River Authority, the event served as a platform to celebrate the contributions of women in the water industry and to foster meaningful connections and dialogue.
Guests gathered to hear from Connie Curtis, whose leadership and experience in the field were matched only by her incredible candor as she shared insights and challenges from her journey as a woman in the water industry. The event offered a unique opportunity for networking and collaboration, as participants engaged in lively discussions.
