Mbroh Tees Off, Sponsors Hole at WEAT’s Daryl Hall Golf Tournament

Members of Mbroh’s Dallas office enjoyed a bright and early day at the Bear Creek Golf Club on Friday, September 5 for the Annual Daryl Hall Golf Tournament sponsored by Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) Northeast Texas.

The tournament featured two full courses of 18 holes played by engineers across the area. All proceeds from the tournament went to the Daryl Hall Scholarship fund, which is available to all employees of North Texas utilities and their children for providing technical training and financial assistance associated with continued education. The event is hosted every year in honor of Daryl Hall, a friend and member of the North Texas water and wastewater community.

Mbroh was the proud sponsor of the “Closest to the Pin” hole, which challenged golfers to hit their ball closest to the pin about 160 yards away with one swing. Other featured holes included Closest to the Line, a putting contest, the “CrapShoot” hole featuring a large decorative toilet for tee-off, and “Hole Hecklers” consisting of a mock sportscasting team that roasted players in good fun.

The Mbroh team performed well at about 6 below par for the tournament, with golfers and volunteers mentioning how they enjoyed meeting other industry professionals while enjoying a fun work day on the green.
