Third Annual Mbroh Engineering Leadership Retreat

Mbroh’s leadership team members recently attended the company’s third annual retreat hosted at Lake Texoma in Pottsboro, Texas. From September 10-12, 2025, staff from Dallas, Houston and Oklahoma City gathered for food, fellowship, training and process improvements, led by Tony Mbroh, President & CEO, and Brooks Schultze, COO.

This year’s retreat held a dual focus: professional communication and presentation skills, coupled with company process improvements to continue as a high-performing company through resources, abilities and actions. Jenifer Bertz, CPSM, of NxtJen Strategies, led three dynamic and interactive sessions on professional presence, communication skills at all levels and company presentation tactics. Attendees advanced their storytelling skills and learned body language awareness and Q&A techniques, all through constructive and engaging feedback from the entire group to improve their skills.

Additional activities each day included local foods, conversations and camaraderie with fellow attendees and afternoon relaxation. Thursday evening’s special event provided the opportunity for attendees to try their hand at axe throwing in downtown Denison, Texas, with many achieving their first bullseye!

Though it’s never easy to disconnect from work for three days, each attendees’ presence was valued and welcomed to advance the future of Mbroh as a firm. Thank you for making this year’s event a success!
