As part of the Freese and Nichols team, Mbroh provided electrical and I&C design at the Draper Water Treatment Plant. Mbroh’s scope includes electrical and I&C recommendations to modify 47 existing plant valves with manual actuators to install electrically motorized actuators controlled by SCADA, which include additional I/O and connection to the existing communication (fiber optic) system. Additionally, Mbroh is providing electrical and I&C services to support the team’s recommendations for improvements to the polymer feed system; SCADA monitoring (local control) for tank level indicators, containment level alarms, pump feed rates, and scales readings; and electrical services for improvements to the administration building’s electrical system.
